INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

I joined a comprehensive healthcare manufacturer as a new graduate and worked as a medical device salesperson for about three years.
Since I was in charge of medical equipment and treatment materials in the field of orthopedics, I usually attend surgeries, visit hospitals, propose products according to the symptoms and background of patients, Provided information on treatment issues.
Other than that, I had opportunities to be involved in training, such as planning and implementing seminars for the general public, demonstrating surgical techniques to doctors, and supporting overseas training programs.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

In my previous experience, I found it most rewarding when I was able to be involved in helping someone gain new insights and support them in stepping up, and I decided that I wanted to work for a company that primarily focuses on "nurturing".
I had used the services of GLOBIS before and was familiar with it, but as I learned more about GLOBIS during my job search, I was also strongly attracted to GLOBIS 's core philosophy (the GLOBIS Way).
The deciding factor for me to join the company was that I felt it was a company that valued individuals and encouraged them to take on challenges. I felt that taking on a new challenge in an industry or occupation that I had no experience in was a bit of a hurdle, but at the interview at GLOBIS, they listened carefully to what I wanted to do and what career I wanted to pursue, and I felt confident that I could carve out what I wanted to do on my own.
In fact, there are many opportunities for challenge and growth, and while there are times when I try things on my own, I am often asked by my supervisor to suggest "Why don't you try ________? I have many opportunities to challenge myself and grow, and sometimes I try things on my own, but more often than not, I get suggestions from my supervisors.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

It was a positive gap that the speed of all changes was faster than I imagined.
In the one and a half years since I joined GLOBIS, the team structure and roles have continued to evolve. There is a goal (vision) for Organization as a whole, and we are thinking about how each team and individual can grow to achieve it.
The fact that decision-making and changes are quick means that various things are decided top-down, but that is not the case. We verbalized it, shared it with other members, and discussed it as a whole.
Each member has an opportunity to think about what they want to achieve in the future, and I feel that the intentions of the members are being respected.

  4. What is your current job?

I am in charge of training management and operation in a department that provides customized training for corporations. After the consultant receives an order, we will lead each process until the training is implemented.
Specifically, there are a wide range of tasks such as task identification, schedule process management, coordination with each stakeholder, ordering teaching materials and system settings. Our consultants think about the design of the training, and we support the smooth progress of the project, so that we operate the training as one team.
The predecessor of the current department was mainly clerical work as a back office, but the role has evolved over the past few years, and now I have more contact with customers as a project manager. I think the appeal of this job is that I can prepare students so that they can take the training stress-free and support opportunities for learning and growth.
Although there is a certain amount of routine work, no two projects are exactly the same.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

I would like to work on improving my project management skills so that I can execute more projects while maintaining quality, and expanding the scope of the role of GLOBIS Corporate Education to increase added value. As a result, I would like to realize professional operations and contribute to the provision of services that exceed the expectations of our customers.
As for the company, I would like to be involved in creating an environment that will make Organization even more comfortable to work in. I would like to think about and implement mechanisms and measures to improve the sense of fulfillment in work and the flexibility of work styles.
In addition, GLOBIS regularly holds the G1 Summit (a place for leaders of the next generation to gather, learn, discuss, and draw a vision for the revitalization of Japan). I would also like to be involved in the operation of the G1 Summit. I feel that one of the appeals of working at GLOBIS is that you can experience various things if you raise your hand in addition to your main work.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

There are many sincere and positive people, and I think it is Organization communication is active. There are no barriers to seniority or title, and everyone is flat and easy to talk to.
There is a high degree of psychological safety, so there is an environment where you can immediately consult when you have a problem or worry about your work. Whenever there is an issue within the team, we share knowledge and come up with solutions together. I am less likely to be left alone with my worries and anxieties, so I am able to go about my work with peace of mind and without excessive stress.
Another good thing about GLOBIS is that there are many constructive dialogues with a positive attitude. GLOBIS has a philosophy of "suggestions rather than criticism," and I really like this way of thinking.
There are people with different ideas in Organization, but I feel that new ideas are born precisely because we accept diverse ideas and have positive discussions.

MESSAGE

Message for those who are thinking about job change to GLOBIS

Before I joined GLOBIS, I had vague concerns about whether I would be able to get used to the new company and whether I would be able to handle the work. However, when I actually started working, my worries were quickly dispelled. There are times when work is tough, but I am able to enjoy working every day with the support of the people around me. I believe that “who you work with” and “what kind of environment you work in” are as important as “what kind of work you do”. Since joining GLOBIS, I have been able to meet many different people, broaden my horizons, and have a desire to grow myself further. I believe that people and work are once-in-a-lifetime chances, so I would be very happy if you could get interested in GLOBIS and feel like working with me, even though there are so many options.
