INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

After working in product planning for a global manufacturer, my previous role was as a coordinator for a government agency, responsible for managing a Japanese language education program in Indonesia. My mission there involved recruiting, training, and managing the labor of local Japanese language teachers, as well as coordinating with Indonesian support staff. As part of a joint Japanese-Indonesia project, I found great satisfaction in witnessing firsthand the dedication of local nurses and care workers to learning Japanese.
My first company managed product specification data, and my second company managed large amounts of data such as payroll and student attendance rate calculations. I enjoyed improving systems to figure out how to perform calculations and management more efficiently, and how to utilize that data effectively.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

In my previous job in human resources, I found fulfillment in "being involved in people's growth," and after returning to Japan, I aspired to work in the education industry. Therefore, I began preparing while I was abroad, including studying career consulting. I chose GLOBIS out of many companies because I deeply resonated with their concept of being a "socially responsible company" based on their experience supporting national projects, and I was also attracted to their overwhelming sense of speed.
I considered other companies for positions as a recruitment consultant or in human resources, but ultimately I decided to join this company because I was convinced that the breadth of its business and the inspiration I could gain from working with people would broaden my own future possibilities. Currently, I am grateful for the environment at the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University where I can also work on improving my own skills, and I feel a great sense of fulfillment in this unique environment that combines the aspects of both an educational institution and a company, where my own possibilities are expanding every day.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

The high level of intellectual curiosity and freedom among my colleagues was a positive surprise. Many people within the company are constantly on the lookout for new technologies and knowledge, actively sharing information, and I feel that Organization is changing and growing at a very rapid pace. In particular, the company-wide promotion of generative AI around the time I joined has significantly increased my opportunities to use AI in my work. Furthermore, study sessions are held almost weekly within the company, and knowledge sharing is far more active than I had imagined. I am very grateful for this intellectually stimulating environment that makes me think, "I need to keep up as quickly as possible!"
Furthermore, GLOBIS has a culture of "Individual Discretion and Responsibility." You have a great deal of autonomy in how you approach your work each day, offering a very high degree of freedom. For those who want to improve their skills with a high degree of autonomy, and for those who are excited about their own and Organization 's growth, GLOBIS is the perfect environment.

  4. What is your current job?

Currently, I provide operational support for corporate training programs at overseas locations. Despite the time difference, I work closely with local consultants and clients through regular meetings and chats to ensure smooth training operations. GLOBIS has many training-related tools, so I first focus on deepening my understanding of the internal systems so that I can explain them clearly to clients.
The Global-Support team often faces challenges in handling overseas projects that are not covered by the standard manuals for domestic projects. However, true to our team slogan, "Flexible x Scalable (flexibly responding to diverse needs and supporting the expansion of global operations)," we find great satisfaction and excitement in shaping operations while even enjoying these irregular situations. We work with various stakeholders both domestically and internationally, but all members respect each other and embody "Heartful Communication," making it a very pleasant workplace.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

Just as GLOBIS is widely recognized in the domestic market, we want to further expand our corporate training brand in our overseas locations as well. To achieve this, our immediate goal is to improve and standardize our operational structure to accommodate further business expansion and scaling, thereby enabling smoother training operations. There is still room to refine the operational systems at our overseas locations, so we want to build a stronger system to enhance support for local consultants.
Currently, I am attending the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University, and after graduation, I am considering a variety of career paths, including sales and consulting, where I will directly interact with clients. In the long term, I would like to be able to support our overseas offices from multiple angles, such as by challenging myself in content development and lecturing to strengthen the foundation of overseas training. I want to continue to grow without standing still in order to deliver GLOBIS' high-quality training to more people around the world.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

From a young employee's perspective, I feel that GLOBIS has many senior colleagues who are supportive and give employees a good degree of autonomy. For the first three months after joining the company, a senior colleague acts as an OBS (Onboarding Supporter), providing one-on-one training. They made every effort to adjust their work schedule to accommodate my circumstances, prioritizing my training and providing thorough guidance despite their busy schedules.
On the other hand, I feel that a flat communication style based on mutual respect is deeply rooted here, as even my opinions as a newcomer are given due consideration. Many of my superiors and management are people of great character, and there are many role models around me that I aspire to be like. Because this company develops a business in the field of corporate training that promotes "people's growth," I feel that the "charm of the people" who work here is what shapes what makes GLOBIS unique.
