INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

At my previous job, which was a manufacturing company and specialized trading company, I was mainly in charge of secretarial and departmental assistants.
I was always conscious of adjusting the schedule so that busy executives could create and optimize their time, and to create an environment where the entire department could work efficiently.
I wanted to expand the range of support work while making the most of my experience in a wide range of clerical work, and I became conscious of changing jobs.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

The first is simply that the work I am currently in charge of at G1 matches my desire to "utilize my experience and strengths to contribute to society, not just within the company." I was fascinated by
The other is that in today's era of 100-year lifespans, I have sought an environment in which I can work, learn GLOBIS and Individual Discretion and Responsibility for a long time. This is because I strongly sympathized with the sense of values that "I decide by myself."

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

Before I joined the company, I imagined that the spirit of "Individual Discretion and Responsibility" that I mentioned earlier would permeate the company, in other words, it would be a company with a strong tendency toward individualism.
When I actually joined the company, there was no doubt that each member was independent and autonomous, but on the other hand, teamwork and communication are very important, and conversations between employees are flat and easy to deal with. It was an environment where I could
We have a lot of company events, and there are many people who enjoy common hobbies and club activities.

  4. What is your current job?

G1, led directly by CEO Hori, is centered around six major annual events: the G1 Summit, the G1 Global Conference, the G1 Management Meeting, the G1 Venture, the G1 New Generation Leaders Summit, and the G1 Regional Meeting. In addition, I run many events, initiatives, and think tanks, and I am involved in event management as the face of the secretariat of those events.
Specifically, event planning and preparation (recruitment of invitees, attendance management, communication with participants centered on e-mail and telephone, creation of websites, application forms, leaflets, participant lists, etc. related to the event etc.), we are in charge of the operation on the day.
In the midst of COVID-19, I feel that the digitalization and diversification of operations are progressing, both in the preparation stage and on the day of the event, in holding a hybrid event between real and online with thorough measures against infectious diseases.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

For the time being, as a member of the secretariat, I would like to support the operation of G1, a platform to "make Japan better."
Of course, there are tasks that you will get used to and master by accumulating experience, but since there is no such thing as "the exact same event and situation as the last time," it is necessary to update each time. I would like to do my daily work carefully so that I can provide operational support that satisfies the participants.
I think GLOBIS has an environment where I can realize what I want to do in the future, and how I want to change the way I work, so I want to continue to enjoy working in my own way.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

On the day of the G1 event, members from other departments, recruited in advance, are also asked to work together as staff members, and all of them actively participate with a sense of ownership.
As I am still inexperienced, I often ask members of other departments to teach me how to operate on the day, and even in post-event feedback, I am often taken aback by attention to detail that I had not noticed on my own.
Contributing with an overwhelming sense of ownership and actively enjoying it, I feel that this is what makes GLOBIS unique.

MESSAGE

Message for those who are thinking about job change to GLOBIS

Personally, as the selection process progressed during my career change, my interest in GLOBIS and my desire to work there increased, but that was because I was attracted to the employees and the corporate culture. This has not changed since I joined the company, and I enjoy working every day in an environment that offers a good work-life balance. If you are interested, please apply! I wish you all the best in your career change.
