INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

In my previous job, I was in the corporate sales department of an electric power company, where I mainly provided consulting to manufacturing clients on improving factory energy efficiency and decarbonization. In addition to office work, I also visited the site on a daily basis, working closely with on-site staff to improve equipment operation, and making other activities and proposals that were deeply involved with the client. Through my interactions with people working not only at headquarters but also at the site, I gained a higher level of understanding and a deeper understanding of the diverse people and Organization that work within a company. This now serves as an important foundation for understanding human resource and Organization issues within a company.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

I decided to join GLOBIS because I felt I could directly contribute to the themes I wanted to achieve, such as "growing Japanese companies through human resource and Organization development" and "increasing the number of people who work with enthusiasm."
I've always had a desire to "make Japan more exciting," and I thought that in order to do that, it was important for Japanese companies to grow. In my previous job, I was involved with many companies, and I realized that the key to a company's growth was for each employee to have a strong sense of purpose and work together to solve problems on their own. This made me want to contribute to developing such people and Organization. It was at that time that I came across GLOBIS.
I also felt that there was an issue with the lack of people who were able to work energetically as members of society. The reasons for this are diverse and not easy to solve, but I believe that if you can get your work done well, it can also lead to enjoyment and a sense of fulfillment. I felt that GLOBIS was valuable and appealing in that it provided the "weapons" needed to work in this positive manner.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

To be honest, I didn't know much about GLOBIS before joining the company, and I didn't have much of a fixed image of it. That's why I was so impressed by the "warmth of the people" that I felt consistently from the interview stage until after joining the company. Of course, there are many logical and talented people, but even more than that, there are so many people who are willing to face others head-on and get to know them deeply, and I feel that human warmth every day.
Also, my previous job was at a large Japanese company, where customs that would now seem a little outdated were deeply rooted, so after joining GLOBIS, I was pleasantly surprised and felt it was innovative to see the company's motto of "Individual Discretion and Responsibility" actually being embodied. Based on the belief in the goodness of human nature, the company's culture of keeping rules to a bare minimum, allowing individual discretion, and respecting individual freedom is very comfortable for me, and thanks to that, I've been able to work with enthusiasm ever since I joined the company.

  4. What is your current job?

Originally, I was in charge of human resources and Organization development consultants at GLOBIS Corporate Education to propose solutions to customer companies' issues. Since then, I am currently a member of the department called "GAD (GLOBIS Assessment & Development)", which was newly established in FY2025, and is involved in the planning and development of new products in addition to sales planning and business planning for the existing product "GMAP".
In my planning work at GMAP, I can be involved in the entire value chain, including problem development, marketing, sales promotion, and collaboration with other departments, and I feel rewarded to expand my own capabilities while experiencing the growth of the business. In addition, planning and developing new products is a challenge to create value from scratch, and there is a lot of freshness and learning to tackle unknown areas, and I am very excited to work on it. The assessment business is the key for GLOBIS to make further leaps forward in the future, and it is most rewarding to be involved in the process of greatly growing such a business.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

In the short term, I would like to focus on expanding the business and Organization in the assessment field in which I am currently involved. As the department itself has just been established, there are daily challenges, but my current goal is to further grow existing products while successfully launching new products. Through this experience, I would like to expand my capabilities in areas such as business development and planning.
In the medium to long term, I would also like to take on the challenge of being directly involved in the growth of business people as a lecturer. I am also interested in furthering my research into people and Organization, so in the future I would like to work in the Faculty Group, GLOBIS 's research and development division, where I would like to be involved in research and the systematization of knowledge related to people and Organization. I think one of the great things about GLOBIS is that I can imagine so many different paths and try.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

One of the things that makes GLOBIS unique is the culture of having fun and working positively on activities that foster mutual understanding. Members naturally share their StrengthsFinder and MBTI results, create and present their individual lifeline charts, and engage in dialogue about their strengths, weaknesses, values, and life paths. This candid sharing leads to deeper understanding, such as "What kind of background does this person have?" or "What kind of commitments do they have," and builds relationships where people respect each other's differences. I feel that this attitude of understanding each member's strengths and weaknesses, complementing and improving each other as a team, and overcoming difficulties together in a positive manner is truly GLOBIS-like.

MESSAGE

Message for those who are thinking about job change to GLOBIS

I feel that GLOBIS is a company with an outstanding environment. The people are warm and all of my colleagues wholeheartedly support self-realization and growth. Many employees are of child-rearing age, and there is a deep understanding of sudden time off due to a child's illness. Changing jobs can be an anxious experience, but the company has created an environment where you can take on challenges in a new environment with peace of mind.
The Assessment Department I belong to is now in the next phase, creating new products and expanding our business and Organization. We still need more colleagues. I look forward to meeting people who can enjoy exciting challenges and create the future together with me.
