After that, I was transferred from the sales department to the management headquarters, and as a section manager in each department, I was in charge of recruiting more than 50 new graduates and mid-career recruits a year, and training before and after joining the company. In the Sales Promotion Section, I was in charge of a wide range of tasks, such as revising manuals and providing system support for area managers in the sales department. -
Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?
When I was looking for a job, I found a job posting for GLOBIS, and when I happened to look at the bookshelf at home, I noticed that there were four GLOBIS books I had read before, and I applied on instinct. I decided to change jobs within 10 years from the time I joined my previous job. Then, when I went to an interview at GLOBIS, I was impressed by the fact that the communication with the interviewer was different from other companies, and my values and thoughts were expressed more concretely. I still remember strongly that after the interview, my motivation to study and work increased, and my determination to work at GLOBIS changed.
Also, in my previous job, my main job was human resource development and education, and I have a strong interest in learning and education. I would like to contribute to the growth of GLOBIS by making the most of my experience. -
Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS
I was surprised in a good way that everyone really embodied the GLOBIS Way.
As I had expected from the honest impression I got from the interview, I am happy to work as a member of Organization that continues to grow under the rules of good character. I also feel that the common recognition of the GLOBIS Way is an ideal company where all employees are better informed as common criteria and Action Guidelines, and where even employees from other departments who meet for the first time can easily communicate with each other.
For example, one of the GLOBIS Way, "Heartful Communication." I especially feel it at events such as graduation ceremonies, but it's impressive how they find each other's good points even in small things and express their gratitude to each other, instead of taking things for granted. I think that it is precisely because we compliment each other that we have a good relationship where we can smoothly exchange opinions and suggestions. -
What is your current job?
As the "Class Operations & Faculty Support Office", the main work is school management / clerical work (lecturer support).
In addition to the real classes at the Tokyo school, which are held almost every day, such as preparing teaching materials and materials to be used in classes and preparing classrooms, we also operate online classes. In addition, cooperation and support will occur in order to operate the classes held at each base nationwide with the same system and operation.
Regarding office work (lecturer support), teamwork based on logical and easy-to-understand cooperation and heartfelt communication is important in order to proceed with correspondence while coordinating with related departments such as the teaching material development team and the student support team. .
Instructor support is often handled by employees, but daily class management is centered on about 15 university students who are Working in the office as long-term internships. -
What I want to achieve in my future career
I want to establish my own aspirations and become a person who can contribute to society.
At GLOBIS, all employees, instructors, and students have high aspirations and are pushing forward as Visionary Leaders Who Create and Innovate Societies.
"I want to help someone, I want to revitalize Japan, I want to increase the number of attractive adults, I want to make the country a better place to live, and I want to create an environment in which people can live according to the theory of good nature."
The first step to fostering aspiration is to "become a person who can express and embody GLOBIS in his/her own words." I haven't achieved anything yet, but I would like to become a person who can contribute to the next generation and society in the future, in return for the help I have received from many people. -
Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"
I can feel GLOBIS likeness in all of my daily work, so the episodes pile up every day, but the most recent one was the exchange of whiteboards at the Tokyo school. I decided to buy a new one because the damage due to aging of the whiteboard became conspicuous, but looking at it superficially, it was just a matter of buying it because it was broken.
However, we have to ask ourselves, "Why is it necessary, who will use it, when and how, and how many are needed in each classroom?" We will carefully consider within the team in search of. The thinking naturally considers everything in the logic tree and selects the most effective means based on quantitative grounds. Milestones are then created, and while coordinating with related departments by the due date, progress is shared within the team and progress is made. If you ask me, I feel that even if it's a matter of course that anyone can understand, I feel that the accumulation of faithfully sticking to these basics seriously has led to the current GLOBIS.
Message for those who are thinking about job change to GLOBIS
In order to overcome various challenges, the presence of colleagues who work together every day is very important. All members of GLOBIS are mid-career hires and come from various backgrounds, but the underlying thoughts and ideas are common to the GLOBIS Way. Also, one of the hiring criteria is that personality is emphasized, and when I joined the company, I really felt that it was true. I don't think it's a good idea to raise expectations because it creates a gap, but I think this is probably okay.
Let's work together at "GLOBIS", where business people with a wide variety of experiences, high aspirations, and good personalities gather!
