INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

I worked for a startup that operated a franchise headquarters in the real estate and construction industry. After joining the company, I gained experience in sales and consulting to franchisees, planning and teaching training for franchisees, event management, and team management.

After that, as the general manager of the business division whose mission is to improve the management and performance of member companies, I was involved in planning and executing business strategies, Organization management, business planning, management, etc. Through this experience, I had the valuable opportunity to be widely involved in startup management.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

The reason I chose GLOBIS is because I thought I could focus more on supporting business people and companies to expand their potential. From my own experiences as a student and at work, I have had a strong interest in "people's potential," and as the saying goes, "a company is its people," I believe that everything starts with "people."

For this reason, I would like to continue challenging myself to "expand people's potential." Another factor is that I became interested in "human resource education and training" due to my previous management experience. Furthermore, because I had previously enjoyed the fast-paced environment at a "startup," I thought I could utilize my experience in the new business field at GLOBIS, and decided to join the company.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

Because of the strong image of the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University, I had the impression that there were many "stiff" people at the "Training/MBA" company. However, after being assigned to a department and team, I realized that the team members have a wide variety of personalities and experiences. As it is a new business team, contrary to the stiff image, it is an environment with many very friendly members.

In addition, there were opportunities and an atmosphere in team meetings where anyone could speak up regardless of their experience, which I felt was a good contrast. Furthermore, Onboarding after joining the company was very thorough, and Onboarding supporters were very sympathetic, which helped me get off to a smooth start, which was also a good contrast.

  4. What is your current job?

I am involved in sales and customer success for the new business, GLOPLA LMS, a learning management system for corporations, as well as the launch of new products. With regard to the learning management system for corporations, I listen to clients' business and training issues, propose solutions, and support training design. With regard to the launch of new businesses, I conduct customer surveys and analysis, and develop and support business development partners.

For both GLOPLA LMS and new business (developing business development partners), we often make proposals mainly to enterprises, including listed companies, and relatively large companies (regardless of industry or business type). This is my first experience with a new business venture in an existing business like GLOBIS, but I feel that I am able to make the most of the company's strengths, such as its reliability, recognition, and resources.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

Our goal is to contribute to the development of people and the evolution of companies by providing a system that allows people to grow. In engaging in new business ventures, many companies have issues such as "people do not grow" and "there are few people who learn independently." Through the services and products we provide, we hope to contribute to "expanding the potential of people and companies" by supporting the realization of each company's human resources strategy.

In the future, I will not only be launching new businesses, but also be involved in creating services and products that will solve market and customer problems, such as growing existing businesses and launching new businesses. In the medium to long term, I would like to work as a team to create a future in which we can contribute to corporate management and administration through human resource development.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

The first is the pursuit of breadth and depth of thinking. At GLOBIS, we are a company that provides "learning," so we are expected to think practically while utilizing academic frameworks, and to think broadly and deeply about a single problem, so there are many occasions when we feel the pursuit of depth and breadth in "thinking."

The second is synergy with existing businesses. At GLOBIS, we have many departments and teams, such as the Graduate School of Management and the Corporate Sales Department, but the "customer" is something that is common to multiple departments, so we can provide a wide range of solutions to customer issues. I feel that being able to propose optimal solutions for solving problems, such as "education/training" content and systems, is also unique to GLOBIS.

MESSAGE

Message for those who are thinking about job change to GLOBIS

I think many people, including myself, have the impression that GLOBIS is a "business school," "MBA," or "corporate training." GDP operates an EdTech business that uses technology to "create the future of learning and expand people's possibilities," and Organization is run with the speed, culture, and atmosphere of a startup, so we believe that it is an environment that is welcoming to people who have been involved in new businesses and startups in the past and are curious and enjoy change, regardless of their past industry or business type.

If you have even the slightest desire to contribute to the evolution of "people" and "Organization," "expand people's potential through learning," or "want to be involved in new business ventures," please feel free to contact us. We look forward to working with people who enjoy change and take on challenges.
