INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

In my previous job, I worked at a public college in Canada, where I worked in the student affairs department for international students.
As I myself had studied abroad for a long time, based on that experience, I answered various questions about course registration rules, course registration methods, and the order of course registration.
I also planned and managed exchanges and events for international students. At first, the international students seemed anxious because they had just arrived, but after two years, they had a fulfilling student life. I found it rewarding.
Among them, there are students of various nationalities who treat me like a friend and with whom I am still in touch. It was a meaningful time that made me think that I would like to continue to be involved in a job where I can support and support someone's growth up close.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

When I returned to Japan Japan, I started looking for a new job in Japan.
From my own study abroad experience, I experienced that learning expands my life options, so I was attracted to the fun and found it rewarding to be able to help others expand their life options.
Therefore, I searched for a new job, mainly in the education industry, focusing on being able to sympathize with the company's philosophy and imagine myself working with a sense of fulfillment.
While considering several companies, I learned about GLOBIS and through browsing websites such as GLOBIS WAY and employee interviews, GLOBIS I got the impression that all employees not only contribute to the achievement of the vision, but also strive every day for their own self-realization. I also felt that we have a diverse human resource and a foundation for its development.
By putting myself in this environment, I was able to expect not only to work as an extension of my previous job, but also to achieve further personal growth, so I decided to join GLOBIS.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

At GLOBIS for the purpose of Ability Development and self-enlightenment, you can take our company's educational products such as the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University.
In particular, I heard that most of the staff who aim to be leaders are working while attending graduate school or are MBA holders. To be honest, I was worried about whether it was an unforgivable atmosphere.
However, I always felt a warm atmosphere from the communication from the HR staff during the process of changing jobs and the atmosphere of the people who were in charge of the interviews. When I received the offer, I immediately decided to join the company because I became more positively interested in what kind of people were actually working there and what kind of environment it was.
After joining the company, I was overwhelmed by the excellence of everyone, but everyone was so friendly and warmly welcomed me that I could not imagine. Also, it's been two years since I joined the company, and even now, no matter how small the question, question, or opinion, there are many scenes where I'm politely reconciled.
I also receive positive stimuli every day from everyone who is always playful and enjoys their work.

  4. What is your current job?

I belong to a department that provides lifelong support to undergraduate students enrolled in the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University, from pre-enrollment preparations, during their studies, and after graduation.
Our educational philosophy is based on three pillars: "Ability Development," "building human networks," and "cultivating "kokorozashi"." In my team, we mainly provide support for course registration, which is mainly related to "Ability Development". My main job is to listen to my concerns and give advice so that I can concentrate on my studies without delay while attending school.
In addition, I work with faculty members of each faculty and the Academic Affairs Division to change course content, prepare for the provision of newly developed courses, and coordinate coordination.
In the same department, I am also involved in the work of a team that focuses more on the fields of "building a human network" and "cultivating "kokorozashi"", so that the time of the students enrolled in the regular course will be enriched and fruitful. I'm looking for it every day.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

At GLOBIS, every team has members and seniors who not only listen when they want to take on new challenges, but also work with them to come up with plans and strategies. After that, there is a boss who approves and watches warmly. The more the message and persuasiveness of your own project, the more likely it is that a project will be launched that transcends team boundaries.
Going forward, I will continue to seek out measures that will lead to the provision of high-value experiences for GLOBIS and the building of GLOBIS GLOBIS GLOBIS. I would like to propose and implement products and plans.
Eventually, we hope that the “individuals” of all the people who have taken the product that we are involved in will have a positive impact on the “whole” of their own communities. ”, and eventually all companies and communities in Japan will be full of vitality, and more and more people from overseas will want to move to Japan to work. I would like to focus on what I should do first and what I can do.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

One of the many “GLOBIS likenesses” that I feel is that all employees always question “what is obvious” and “have a desire to improve without stopping thinking”.
The team I belong to is in charge of students attending the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University. No matter how many systems, rules, and internal arrangements are in place, there are times when consultations do not apply to any case, as no two people are the same.
Of course, there are rules that serve as standards, and that's basically everything, so if you compare similar cases and tell them "NO", it may still work as a job.
However, at GLOBIS office, no matter how trivial it may be, we always stop and ask ourselves whether it is really okay to say no, and whether the current rules are not suitable for the times and circumstances. What is the problem, what is really necessary and important? Is this judgment correct as the "GLOBIS Secretariat", which is also a shadow supporter of the students? I always ask within the team, sometimes including my superiors, if there is anything I can suggest.
Then, do you spend a lot of time on one case? That's not the case. GLOBIS is well equipped with DX, so we mainly communicate in open places on Slack and use calendar tools to quickly communicate. Because of the pervasive culture of casually joining MTG, the time from asking questions, considering, and making decisions to action moves very quickly.
Always striving to provide the best and most suitable solutions for the provision of services while being GLOBIS of not wasting the time of all stakeholders, including students who have problems. I feel it every day.
