INTERVIEW
  1. Previous job industry/work

I have experience with two companies so far, the first being a domestic manufacturer that coordinates commercial spaces, where I was in charge of sales for 5 years and product planning for 1.5 years. After that, in order to further improve my sales skills, I changed jobs to a foreign-affiliated medical device manufacturer and was engaged in the work of proposing and selling minimally invasive surgical instruments.
When I joined my second company, I was in a world unrelated to surgery, but by receiving in-house training (education), I was able to discuss surgical techniques with doctors in a few months. Therefore, I decided to put myself in an industry that specializes in "education" as my career.

  2. Why did you decide to join GLOBIS?

I decided to join the company because I felt that there was an environment where I could realize my ambition of "I want to make the world a better place through the power of education."

Influenced by a book I read when I was a student, I was deeply moved by the way of life of Professor Shoin Yoshida, who produced many human resources who supported modern Japan through the power of education. At this time, I also wanted to go out into the world once and learn the structure of society and acquire skills as a business person, then I wanted to work in the education industry. I decided to gain experience in a company.

After working at two companies, I became keenly aware of the differences in the educational systems of global companies and Japanese companies, and I strongly felt that I wanted to provide many opportunities for business people to improve their skills in Japan as well.

Under such circumstances, I became interested in GLOBIS, a leading company in business schools and corporate training, and eventually decided on the philosophy of the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University (GLOBIS has produced many Kokorozashi Purpose Driven and is promoting "Create and innovate" in Japan and the world. I decided to join the company because I strongly sympathized with the mission of creating dynamism in society and contributing to the growth of society as a whole.

  3. Gap felt before and after joining GLOBIS

    I have two points.

The first point is the gap in corporate culture.
As an MBA in the education industry, I had a very "straight" image before joining the company. When I actually joined the company, there was no formal atmosphere at all, and the clothes were casual.
I feel that the principle of "Individual Discretion and Responsibility" stipulated in the HR policy, rather than being bound by rules, is rooted in a culture of trusting each other based on the theory of good nature. .

The second point is the communication gap.
There are many MBA holders in the company, so I thought that there was a lot of logical and dry communication (laughs). Since I was able to consult with them empathetically, I was able to spend my time almost naturally from the second day after joining the company.

  4. What is your current job?

As a team leader of the school office division of the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University Osaka, I provide support for the overall coursework of single course students. Specifically, I am engaged in proposing courses to take, career interviews, event planning, and planning and executing marketing measures. In addition, I am involved in multiple projects across all bases and act as a project leader.

Everyone who starts studying at GLOBIS can start taking courses with the desire to grow further, contribute to Organization, and be useful to the world. In order to realize that desire, it is essential to Ability Development, cultivate aspirations, and build a human network. I'm planning.
The most rewarding part of my job is the smiles on the faces of the students who have taken the first step towards the MBA despite their various anxieties and challenges. It's time to come to the graduation ceremony. I am also present as a member of the secretariat, but when I see everyone's splendid appearance, I can't stop crying. .
I believe that this job is my vocation, where I can accompany the students in their careers and spend time together.

  5. What I want to achieve in my future career

My current ambition is to "continue to provide a place where many business people can build aspirations, abilities, and human networks" so that they can choose their own way of life.
Therefore, I would like to gain deep insight into the MOTs (Moments of Truth) of our students and utilize them in our policies so that the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University can evolve as a better community.
Also, in the medium term, I would like to realize a career that allows me to work hard with everyone as a lecturer myself.

  6. Episodes that felt "GLOBIS-like"

When new market trends and themes to be considered are set, study groups and reading groups are naturally set up to expand knowledge in the field, and everyone deepens their knowledge.
Through my previous and previous jobs, there were almost no opportunities for employees to learn from each other other than in-house training.
On the other hand, at GLOBIS, study sessions and reading sessions are held in various places beyond the boundaries of departments, teams, positions, and years.
Occasionally, speakers from outside the industry who represent our industry participate in study sessions as guests, and our representative, Mr. Hori, sits at the same round table and talks about books with us.
I feel that what makes GLOBIS unique is the culture in which all employees learn from each other on a daily basis.
